Meet our Student Leadership Team 2025/26
We are so proud to introduce you to our Student Leadership Team for this academic year. The Student Leadership Team is made up of students from all year groups in the school.
Students across all year groups were given the opportunity to apply for this invaluable leadership role. We asked students to tell us why they wanted to be a student leader and how they demonstrate our school motto of ‘Dare to achieve beyond what you are today’.
The Student Leadership Team meet weekly to plan, prepare, deliver or create resources for whole school events which occur throughout the academic year. They also attend regular meetings with the academy Senior Leadership Team. This provides a platform to discuss what they think is working well within the school and where they can drive positive change. Student Leaders play an active role in representing our school at key events such as Open Day and the Prize Presentation Evening.
Each half term, student leaders collate news items which are shared with students and the wider community via our newsletter. This is created by and for the students at The Ruth Gorse Academy.
