## Overview

Students work through 12 different units throughout Year 10 and Year 11. Each group will be given personalised lessons. Homework is set on a weekly basis to consolidate the learning and embed topics taught.
AO1 is about using and applying standard techniques (40%), AO2 is about reasoning, interpreting and communicating (30%) and AO3 is about problem solving non-routine problems (30%)
3 papers at the end of Year 11: Paper 1 non calculator, 1 ½ hrs with a total of 80 marks.
Paper 2 and Paper 3 are calculator, each paper is 1 ½ hrs long with a total of 80 marks.

Unit 2 Algebra – Simplifying and expanding
Unit 3 Data handling – Plotting graphs and using averages
Unit 4 Number – Ratio, percentages and fractions
Unit 5 Shape and space – Angle facts, Pythagoras and trigonometry
Unit 6 Algebra – Solve equations
Unit 7 Shape and space – Area, perimeter and volume
Unit 8 Shape and space – Translations, plans and elevations
Unit 9 Algebra – Sins and cosine rule
Unit 10 Data Handling – Probability
Unit 11 Ratio and proportion – Direct and inverse proportion
Unit 12 Algebra – Since and cosine rule

Unit 11 Ratio and proportion – Share into a ratio, direct proportion problems
